In 1912 werd de markt een dagmarkt die 6 dagen per week geopend is. Tegenwoordig staan er ruim 260 kraampjes! Winkels heb je eigenlijk niet meer nodig want hier vind je onder andere een groente, fruit, vis, vlees, bloemen en kledingkraam. Maar ook Hollandse lekkernijen zoals een haring of verse stroopwafels kun je hier kopen. Mocht je toch opzoek zijn naar andere winkels? De boodschappen kun je doen bij Dirk van de Broek of de Albert Heijn. Shoppen voor kleding doe je op de Ferdinand Bolstraat of je loopt even door en je staat zo in de Kalverstraat. Een dagje niet willen koken? Uit eten kun je gaan in één van de vele restaurantjes rondom het appartement zoals, The Butcher, Boca's Park, de Pizzabakkers en wil je een keertje echt culinair eten dan raden we jou restaurant Sinne aan! Mocht je voor werk of studie het OV willen nemen? Diverse trams en bussen, maar ook de recent geopende Noord-Zuidlijn bevindingen zich op loopafstand van het appartement. Tussen alle gezelligheid op de markt vind je de Albert Cuypstraat 164 A. Wanneer je de voordeur opent, loop je vervolgens door naar de eerste verdieping van dit karakteristieke pand uit 1892. Wanneer je het appartement binnen komt, kom je terecht in de hal. Vanuit hier heb je toegang tot de badkamer, de keuken en de woonkamer. Wanneer je de woonkamer bent binnen gekomen zul je hier een fijne en lichte ruimte zien, dit komt door de grote raampartijen die in de voorgevel zitten. Vanaf hier heb je ook een mooi uitzicht over de straat. Op dit moment is de woonkamer één open ruimte, je zou hier bijvoorbeeld ook een muurtje kunnen plaatsen zodat je een aparte slaapkamer hebt. You’ll be living on the most famous market in Europe, the “Albert Cuyp market”. The street and the market are named for…who else…Albert Cuyp, a 17th century artist. In 1912 it became a daily market, open 6 days a week. Currently there are around 260 different stalls on the market! With regards to shopping, you aren’t missing anything as amongst others you have just outside your door vegetable, fruit, meat, fish and clothing stores. But you can also buy Dutch delicacies such as a herring or fresh stroopwafels here. Need another type of shop? For daily shopping you have the Dirk van de Broek and the Albert Hein. You have clothes shopping on the Ferdinand Bol or just take a short walk on up to the Kalverstraat. Don’t feel like cooking? For dining out you can go to one of the many restaurants around the apartment such as The Butcher, Boca’s Park, or the Pizzabakkers, or if you are looking for a true culinary experience we recommend restaurant Sinne! Do you need good public transport links for your work or studies? There are multiple bus and tram lines, but also the newly opened Noord-Zuid metro line is within walking distance at the end of the street. In amongst the charming hustle and bustle of the market you find Albert Cuypstraat 164A. As you walk through the front, you head up the stairs to the first floor of this characteristic building from 1892. As you enter the apartment you come immediately into a hall which leads to the bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Once you are in the living room you will see a nice, bright room thanks to the large windows on the front side of the building. From here you also have a lovely view of the street. Currently the living room is a large open space, you could also place a wall here to make a separate bedroom. You will find the kitchen at the front of the apartment. Along with a 4 burner gas oven, you will also find here a combination fridge-freezer. The bathroom includes a toilet, sink, and shower. On the same floor directly behind the apartment is the storage room with washer-dryer connection, with plenty of room left over for storage.
